How does WinChart work?
After you have installed WinChart into your computer, will be
using WinChart to study the charts and do your analysis. You will also
have a WinChart Downloader, (automatically installed with your
WinChart) to download up-to-date stocks data and info.

WinChart™ is a program and a
technical analysis tool that will provide you with the Bursa Malaysia

- Can I use WinChart™ if I don’t know
anything about the computer and the internet ?
WinChart™ is designed to be user
friendly and can be used by the beginner and expert alike. We will
also provide training to help you get started and to use the computer
and WinChart™.
- Can I make any changes to
WinChart™'s data?
No. Alterations to the WinChart™
program may affect your chart, resulting in a corrupted and incorrect
database.
- What other first hand information
can I get via WinChart™ ?
WinChart™ comes with an internet
Data Downloader that links you to all the major news media, including
the local newspapers. It also provides you with up to date online
information on all major indices around the world. You can also obtain
detailed information of listed companies in the country.
- Can I get real time quotes?
Currently real time quotation is
normally provided free by major security firm, all you need is to
contact your broker.
- Do I get any
upgrade in the future and what is the charge like?
Yes, we do upgrade WinChart™ very
frequent and the upgrade software available to you freely.
- What is the best browser to use
when viewing WinChart™ Downloader ?
That's an easy one -
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x.
IE does the best job of rendering graphs and tables. If you use
Netscape, you'll notice that your pages will take much longer to load
because of how it processes the information it receives.
- Do I need to scroll right to see
all of WinChart™ online page. Is there a way to get around this ?
WinChart™ online page is designed using a resolution of 800x600. If
your monitor resolution is set to at least 800x600 and you open your
window to its fullest, you won't need to scroll at all.
To change your monitor resolution
on a PC, right-click on your desktop. From the pop-up window select
"Properties" and then "Settings" - you should see display or screen
area listed on that page.
- I'm seeing old information on my
pages - what's going on ?
Chances are that your browser has a page cached that it shouldn't.
Deleting your cache (or the temporary Internet files) and that should
take care of it. We suggest deleting your cache often.
- I
can't remember my registration information! What can I do ?
Don't worry - you can call or email to us.
- I can't register successfully - am
I doing something wrong ?
The system is case sensitive. If you get an error message saying that
your Password or User ID is invalid, the first thing to do is make
sure that you have the appropriate letters capitalized. You might also
check to see if you have your "Caps Lock" key depressed.
- How do I go about changing my User
ID or Password ?
Just
send us a note
and we'll take care of it! Please include what you'd like for a new
User ID or Password.
- How long
does it typically take to download data at the end of the day?
This depends on how fast your Internet connection is. Most people
download and update their data from data provider in under less than 1
minute.
- How do I
back up my data?
To back up your data, open the [Control Panel] in WinChart™, then
click [Backup/Restore] button to start the function. Please click
[Backup] button to back up the data. If you like to restore the data,
please click the [Restore] button.

How do I know what version of the product I am using?
To find your product version, choose [About] button from WinChart™.
The version number is on the right side of the About window.
