At WinChart GOLD, all the figures and ratios are
calculated based on the current earning. Whereas some providers
and news papers calculate the figures and ratios using last
financial year earnings. This results in a serious lagging of
information.
For example, the above ratio is taken from Titan
[5103] with its figures and ratios calculated based on the
earnings up to the latest quarter ended on 30/09/06, which was
announced on the 7/11/06. As shown by A circled on the picture
above, WinChart shows a Net Asset of RM1.80 while some source are
still showing a Net Asset of RM 1.40, which is the Net Asset
recorded for Quarter 4 of the year 2005, ended 31/12/05.
As you may see, the quarterly result are usually
announced around two months later, therefore, the fact is that all
financial data is lagging around two months. Imagine if you were
to refer to sources which provide out-dated figures, you are
actually analyzing your investment based on a data which has
lagged from a few months old to more than a year.
